A lack of Gabriel Jesus goals might be getting worrisome for Arsenal supporters.

The 25-year-old scored five in relatively quick succession earlier in the Premier League campaign.

However, the Brazil international is now 11 games without a goal across all competitions following another blank in Saturday’s 2-0 victory away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Manchester City hitman continues to be a positive influence in Mikel Arteta’s attack.

But he’s absolutely struggling to be as prolific as he was earlier in the season and Jamie Redknapp has highlighted his woes on the Sky Sports Football podcast, claiming he’s having a ‘bit of a moment’.

He said: “Especially heading forward, Jesus is having a bit of a moment, he’s playing well and doing a great job for the team but not got the goals. That’s when you need your midfield players, wide men can they chip in and make the difference. So for him to get two goals is just so important for the team.”

There’s no doubt that Jesus is not in form in terms of scoring goals, as Redknapp pointed out.

But he remains a vital part of Arsenal’s attack nonetheless and even when he isn’t finding the net, he’s still constantly involved.

Problem is, some games Odegaard won’t be able to bail them out, nor will Bukayo Saka or Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal have a five-point cushion at the top of the Premier League standings and if they’re going to go all the way, they will absolutely need Jesus to be a lot more consistent when it comes to scoring goals during the second half of the campaign.
