Writing in the Daily Mail, Jamie Redknapp has named his Premier League team of the week.

This weekend proved to be another scintillating round of fixtures, as all but one game ended in a victory. That was at the King Power stadium, where Leicester City and Arsenal played out a scintillating 0-0 draw.

The surprise result was arguably at Turf Moor, where Burnley were 2-0 winners over Liverpool courtesy of goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.

In fact it was a particularly good weekend for all the promoted sides, as Middlesbrough and Hull City also secured wins.

And that is represented in Redknapp’s team as four stars from that trio make it into his selection for the Daily Mail.

Tom Heaton is his selection in goal, despite the Clarets ‘keeper being largely a spectator in that win over Liverpool as the Reds frontline struggled to impress.

Centre back sees West Ham’s Winston Reid partnered with Manchester City man John Stones, while the full back positions are filled by Tottenham man Danny Rose and Ahmed Elmohamady.

Redknapp opts for a midfield three, with Chelsea’ N’Golo Kante partnered alongside Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Christhian Stuani, who scored twice for Middlesbrough in the win over Sunderland.

Up front, Sam Vokes and Sergio Aguero partner Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a potent front line.

Three players unfortunate to miss out:

Maarten Stekelenburg – The goalkeeper was impressive once again against West Brom, making several key saves to ensure his side left the Hawthorns with all three points.

Mason Holgate – After John Stones left for Manchester City, Holgate could be the next top talent to break through at Goodison Park. against the Baggies he was assured at the back, while also being a threat going forward.

Lynden Gooch – Sunderland may have lost against rivals Middlesbrough, but the Black Cats youngster can be pleased with his all action display in the game. He could be a regular for David Moyes side this season.
