Liverpool will win the Premier League title and Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four, predicts Jamie Redknapp.

Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham during the Audi cup 2019 final match between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Muenchen at Allianz Arena on July 31, 2019 in Munich, Germany.

Jamie Redknapp has predicted in The Daily Mail Premier League Fixtures Guide 2019/20 (print edition, page 3, Saturday, August 3, 2019) that Liverpool will win the Premier League title this season.

The former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder believes that the Reds will pip Manchester City to the league title in 2019-20.

The Sky Sports pundit has also backed Spurs to end up in the top four of the Premier League this campaign.

Redknapp, though, cannot envisage Mauricio Pochettino’s side challenging Liverpool or City for the league title.

Redknapp wrote in The Daily Mail Premier League Fixtures Guide 2019/20 (print edition, page 3, Saturday, August 3, 2019): “After missing out on the Premier League title by a single point to Manchester City, he re-motivated his players and made sure they did not miss out on being crowned champions of Europe.

“That was Klopp’s first trophy with the club and I suspect more will follow this season – including the Premier League title.

“I expect this year’s race to be as tight as the last but I have a feeling that Liverpool could pip their rivals to it.”

Redknapp added: “Elsewhere in the Premier League, Tottenham have finally strengthen their squad but I can’t see them keeping up with Liverpool or City all season. Another top-four finish should follow for them.”

Title race

Liverpool finished just a point behind City in the Premier League table last season, and the Merseyside outfit will be determined to clinch the title this campaign.

As for Tottenham, the North London outfit have shown some promising signs in recent years, and Pochettino’s side will be confident of at least pushing the Reds and Pep Guardiola’s team.

A top-four finish, though, will be Tottenham’s main objective during the 2019-20 campaign.
