Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is impressing at Ibrox.

Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Rangers’ Steven Gerrard will become the ready-made replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Rangers boss Gerrard left his coaching role with Liverpool’s Under-18’s back in May, taking up a role as Gers manager in a shock move.
Despite his lack of experience, Gerrard has impressed at Ibrox this season, firstly taking the club into the Europa League at the first time of asking.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat of Celtic has ended a barren league run against the Bhoys, and put the two Old Firm rivals joint-top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Rangers are major contenders for the title under Gerrard, and the way his side dominated against Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic has received major praise.
Now, pundit Redknapp has offered his view on Gerrard, praising him for beating Celtic and challenging for top spot in Scotland in his first season in charge.

Redknapp did add a confident prediction though, stating that Gerrard looks to be the ready-made replacement for Jurgen Klopp whenever he decides to leave Liverpool.
“When Jurgen Klopp decides to leave Liverpool in the distant future, it is looking more and more like Steven Gerrard will be the perfect person to take over,” said Redknapp. “If he continues to develop the way he has at Rangers, then he will be a ready-made replacement.”
“Gerrard could have stayed at Liverpool’s academy to develop his coaching skills there but instead went to Rangers to test himself. Now look at him — fighting for the Scottish Premiership title and off the back of beating Celtic,” he added.
