Christian Eriksen was instrumental in Tottenham Hotspur’s win on Saturday.

Jamie Redknapp has implored Tottenham Hotspur to do whatever it takes to keep hold of Christian Eriksen this season.
Eriksen underlined his importance to Spurs on Saturday with a game-changing cameo in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa in North London.
All three of Tottenham’s goals came after the Denmark international’s arrival on 65 minutes.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this week and, with the transfer window in Spain still open, reported suitors Real Madrid could yet make their move.
Eriksen is out of contract with the Lilywhites next summer, and Redknapp believes that his former club need to do everything they can to keep him at the club.
“[The comeback] was more to do with him than anyone else… He showed his important to that team today,” he said on Sky Sports. “Players like that are few and far between. They’ve gotta keep him. If he wants a bit more money, that’s what great players deserve.
“When Eriksen plays it’s like the game stands still. They see the game different, they see the game in slow motion. He was so influential in that result today, it wouldn’t have happened it it wasn’t for him.”
With Giovani Lo Celso now signed up, it remains to be seen what role Eriksen has this season. Yes, he was brilliant on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be in the first XI every single week.
The trick for Pochettino is finding a system where Lo Celso and Eriksen can flourish together and if the Argentine can find that balance, without it affecting the team’s fluidity, then it’s really exciting.
