Liverpool are heading into the international break with an eight-point lead after Manchester City failed to close the gap on Sunday afternoon.
Jamie Redknapp and Lucas Leiva sent Instagram messages to James Milner after Liverpool recorded a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
Sky Sports pundit Redknapp described Milner as ‘the coolest man in Anfield’ as he put away a stoppage-time penalty to secure all three points for his team.
Late in the second half, James Maddison had equalised for the away side, as Jurgen Klopp’s men were set to drop their first points of the season.
But Sadio Mane won a controversial penalty in stoppage-time as Milner stepped up, kept his cool and enured his team maintained their 100% to the season.
After the game, Redknapp and former Anfield favourite Lucas sent these messages to Milner from their personal Instagram account.
Milner has experience of winning the Premier League title because he did so during his days with Manchester City as he now will want to do it with Liverpool.
The weekend results did fall in favour of Jurgen Klopp’s side because not only did they record all three points, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City suffered a home defeat to Wolves.
It now means that the gap at the top of the Premier League table is eight points, but Klopp will be well aware that means nothing, at this moment in time.
