Wolverhampton Wanderers have continued their impressive start to life back in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are now unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions. That run includes games against both Manchester City and Manchester United, with the latter drawing 1-1 with the Championship title-holders at Old Trafford at the weekend.
Some may have expected Jose Mourinho’s side to come out on top convincingly when Fred handed the home team a lead inside 20 minutes, but Moutinho equalised eight minutes after the break and Wolves were more than deserving of a point at full-time.
Redknapp has been hugely impressed by Wolves this term, and suggested that Moutinho is going to be an inspired signing for the Molineux outfit, while he also reserved praise for the defence.

“Now the midfielder is working in perfect harmony with Joao Moutinho, a player who I have admired for a long time. Whenever I saw him in action for Monaco and Portugal I thought he had the aggression and dynamism to thrive in the Premier League. He capped a dominant display with a sensational strike at Old Trafford.
“Wolves may be thrilling to watch but they are resolute in defence, too. Willy Boly is a warrior and I love that they are captained by a Scouser in Conor Coady!”

Wolves boast the best defensive record of any team outside the current top four in the Premier League. And while they are currently only averaging one goal scored per game, they undoubtedly have the depth and quality to change that dramatically in the coming weeks.
Wolves face Leicester in the Carabao Cup this week looking to avenge their only defeat of the season thus far, while Southampton lie ahead in their next league game.
