The Tottenham Hotspur players have been criticised for their weak mentality in big away games over the past few years.

Former Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp explained how Mauricio Pochettino’s biggest challenge at Spurs will be to turn his players into serial winners, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports ahead of tonight’s huge Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Lilywhites have come on leaps and bounds under the stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino, but they have still flattered to deceive in big away games, especially at Old Trafford.
If Tottenham are to make a sustained push for major honours this season, they absolutely must improve their away form against the Premier League’s top six sides – a notion that Redknapp agrees with.
The former Spurs ace explained how Pochettino must find a way of changing the mindset of the players at the club sooner rather than later, if they are to go on and end their 10-year wait for a major trophy, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“In the past they have been spineless in these games. It should not be like that. They have got too many good players and too good a manager. That’s the mindset Pochettino has to change – he has to turn his team into winners. Too often they do not play with personality in these big away games. It’s a big problem.”
Tonight’s match at Old Trafford will be a fantastic opportunity for the Tottenham players to prove that they have evolved and matured as a team.
If they beat Jose Mourinho’s men, they will surely be taken seriously as Premier League title contenders this season.
