Pundit Jamie Redknapp has hailed Liverpool left back Andrew Robertson.

Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Andrew Robertson will prove to be a subtle signing for Liverpool – and could even boost Philippe Coutinho if the Brazilian stays at Anfield.
The Reds have enjoyed a positive week on the field, having beaten Crystal Palace 1-0 in the Premier League before hammering Hoffenheim 4-2 in the second leg of their Champions League play-off clash, reaching the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition as a result.
Jurgen Klopp’s men also continue to fend off interest in Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, though no progress has been made in pursuit of new signings before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

However, one of Klopp’s summer signings is already impressing, as left back Andrew Robertson turned in a superb performance against Crystal Palace.
The Scottish left back, signed from Hull City this summer, came into the Liverpool side in place of Alberto Moreno, and he produced a promising display, showing great attacking play as well as composure defensively.
Robertson, 23, was surprisingly dropped for the midweek clash with Hoffenheim as Moreno came back in, but the new signing may now hope to feature against Arsenal this weekend and really kick on with his Anfield career.

After Robertson impressed so much against Palace, pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp spoke to the Daily Mail, stating that he thinks the left back could be the latest in a long line of Scottish stars at Anfield.
Redknapp added that with such superb delivery and a desire to get forward, Robertson could be the perfect complement to Coutinho down the left – if the Brazilian does end up staying with the Reds this season.
“Liverpool have a proud history of great Scottish players, such as Dalglish and Souness…and they may have another in Andrew Robertson,” said Redknapp. “James Milner did well at left back last season but Liverpool needed a specialist there. Robertson gave Liverpool balance against Crystal Palace.”
“He offers another option down the left and his delivery was superb. If Philippe Coutinho stays, Robertson will let him cut inside and shoot more frequently. There will be greater tests of his defensive capabilities but he will prove a very astute signing,” he added.
