West Ham United could only manage to draw 2-2 with West Bromwich Albion.

Jamie Redknapp has told Daily Mail that he would have no issues with West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic’s reaction to conceding against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.

West Ham looked to be on their way to picking up three points, but the Baggies scored a late set piece to rescue a draw.

Bilic felt there had been a foul in the build up to the goal, but nothing was given, and the Croatian could not hide his anger.

Bilic picked up a pitch side microphone and threw it on to the ground, and Redknapp completely understood the 48-year-old’s frustration.

“I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for a manager to watch their side concede a last-minute equaliser,” Redknapp said.

“I felt for Slaven Bilic when West Brom snatched a draw in injury time. West Ham had only just gone 2-1 ahead and they have now dropped six points this season from goals conceded in the 89th minute or later.

“While throwing a TV microphone may not have been the best way to react, I completely understand the manager’s anger.”

West Ham had fought back well to take the lead against West Brom, with goals from Sofiane Feghouli and Manuel Lanzini.

The Hammers just could not hold on, though, as Gareth McAuley was able to deflect the ball into the back of their net.

West Ham’s failure to win was a frustration, but Bilic’s side certainly seem to have turned their season around.

The Hammers are now in 10th place in the Premier League table, with their next fixture coming against Watford in two weekends’ time.
