Can Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli score against Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend?
Jamie Redknapp has revealed to Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli wants to score 20 goals in the Premier League this season.
Alli is one of the best young players in entire Europe and has been in superb form for Tottenham this season.
The England international midfielder has scored 17 goals in the Premier League, one in the Champions League and three in the FA Cup for Spurs this campaign.
Former Tottenham midfielder Redknapp has revealed that the 21-year-old wants to take his Premier League goal-tally this season to 20.
Redknapp made the revelation ahead of Spurs’ league game against Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday evening.
“As for this weekend, I think Tottenham will be too strong,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “I spoke to Dele Alli and he is desperate to get to 20 league goals, it’s not going to be easy for him, but I think the key for him, and Spurs, is in midfield.”
Alli is a very good midfielder, and he has progressed well this season. The goals the Englishman has scored this season have been very important for Spurs.
The former Milton Keynes Dons star is certainly capable of scoring three more league goals this season. Even if Alli fails to score against United, he should be confident of finding the net against Leicester City and Hull City.
