Jamie Redknapp disappointed by two Chelsea players last night

Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports, during their live Carabao Cup coverage, that he wasn’t impressed by Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic or Callum Hudson-Odoi last night.

Chelsea were knocked out of the cup by Manchester United yesterday, as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat.

Frank Lampard’s side had a lot of possession, but both their wide options struggled to influence the game in a positive manner.

And Redknapp admits that he was expecting to see more from the Chelsea wingers.

“I didn’t like what I saw from certainly Pulisic and Hudson Odoi, I wanted to see more from them,” he said. “It wasn’t until Batshuayi scored that he did something. Lampard will be disappointed that they didn’t do more.”

Pulisic went into the game full of confidence after netting a hat-trick for Chelsea at the weekend against Burnley, but he could not repeat that performance last night.
