Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen made his first appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in 20 months last night.

Janssen came on to the pitch for Spurs, as they pressed for a winner.
The Dutch striker was making his first appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in 20 months.
And although he didn’t hit the back of the net himself, Janssen was on the pitch when Spurs scored their winner.
However, Redknapp has suggested that Janssen may not have done enough to convince Pochettino he is ready for more chances.
“You look at the bench, Janssen didn’t perhaps do enough,” Redknapp said.

“Some teams can change it with players coming off the bench, but Tottenham don’t have that luxury right now.”
It was Christian Eriksen who eventually got Tottenham’s winner, on what was a frustrating night.
Spurs had all the pressure, but could not find a way through the Brighton defence, until Eriksen took aim from distance.
Spurs’ victory strengthens their grip on a top four place, leaving them four points clear of Arsenal in fifth.
