Jamie Redknapp has criticised West Ham United duo Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini.
Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that he felt West Ham stars Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini ‘went missing’ against Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers travelled to Merseyside on Sunday afternoon to take on an Everton side that had claimed just two points in their previous four Premier League games, whilst West Ham had won their last two league fixtures.

However, it was Everton who ran out 2-0 winners, as Romelu Lukaku first headed home Yannick Bolasie’s cross, before Lukaku teed up Ross Barkley to seal all three points late on.
After three straight wins in all competitions, this was a disappointing step back for West Ham, who will have felt they had turned the corner in recent weeks after a torrid start to the campaign.
What will particularly frustrate manager Slaven Bilic is that West Ham actually started Sunday’s game well, and looked like the team most likely to score in the first half.

However, Everton not only came out reinvigorated after half time, but West Ham were sluggish, and two of their key players were quiet in the second period.
Playmakers Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini looked dangerous in the first half, but were anonymous in the second period – something pundit Jamie Redknapp picked up on as well.

Redknapp told Sky Sports that he felt Payet and Lanzini ‘went missing’ in the second half, and manager Bilic will be disappointed with how his side couldn’t build on their first half performance.
“I think Slaven Bilic will be really disappointed,” said Redknapp. “First half, they were excellent, they played the game really well. Second half, they lost their way and lost their energy. The big players in the team struggled, especially Payet and Lanzini, who in the first half were really influential. They didn’t get involved and went missing in the second half,” he added.
