Fernando Llorente is now at Swansea City but was once wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.
Jamie Redknapp has claimed his dad Harry Redknapp previously tried to sign Fernando Llorente for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spanish striker scored two dramatic goals for Swansea City at the weekend to cap a dramatic 5-4 win against Crystal Palace.

This season is Llorente’s first taste of Premier League action since signing from Sevilla in the summer, and before the weekend he had just one goal to his name.
Llorente was once one of Europe’s most in form strikers, and Jamie Redknapp has told The Mail how Spurs simply could not afford to buy him.
He said: “I remember my dad trying to sign him for Tottenham from Athletic Bilbao five or six years ago and they could not afford him.
“Llorente went to Juventus and although he scored 16 goals in his first season in Serie A, he seems to have lost some of that appetite and desire.”

Llorente is now 31 and a long way off being the player who was previously a Spanish international, but his brace at the weekend could reinvigorate him.
Swansea needed some inspiration amid their increasingly desperate relegation battle, and Llorente’s goals will give the side fresh belief they can stay up.
Tottenham have had a bad record of buying strikers in recent years and may be glad they did not spend big on Llorente, but the big money they put up for his Spanish colleague Roberto Soldado panned out little better.
