Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season will be on the line once again when they host Tottenham Hotspur in a difficult Premier League encounter on Sunday.

Jamie Redknapp has backed Liverpool to beat Tottenham on Sunday and stated that Dele Alli is as good as Steven Gerrard was at this stage of his career.
Spurs head to Anfield at the weekend on the back of a comprehensive and much-needed win in the Champions League, with Alli seemingly being back to his best recently.
It hasn’t been a good 12 or so months for Alli, but he will be hoping that his bad run of form is now over and he can showcase the form that won him plaudits when he first joined Spurs.
Speaking to Sky Sports News (24/10/19 at 6:45 pm), Redknapp shared his prediction for the weekend’s match and praised Alli’s return to form.
“This is the sort of game where they have to go and perform against Liverpool,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “If they don’t then Liverpool will be too quick and too fast in midfield. They’ll run all over them. I do [see Liverpool winning this], especially at Anfield. Tottenham have got the players.
“One player I was really pleased for that scored last week was Dele Alli. He’s got a lot of stick of late and I think there’s a genuine player in there. He’s still only 23, 24 years of age, he’s got so much to offer still. He’s just had a little bit of a rough spell in his career and these things happen sometimes. I don’t wish we were ruling him out too much.
“Two or three years ago people were talking about him being one of the best in Europe. His goal ratio at this age is as good as Gerrard’s, Lampard’s and Beckham. Anyone you care to mention. I think he just needs to get back to that level and it’s a case of looking at yourself in the mirror and knowing that you have to do a little bit more.”

After weeks of poor performances, poor results and extra pressure, this game on Sunday might just suit Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Liverpool are sitting top of the table, they are the team in form, and are the unbeaten side. Meanwhile, Spurs have produced indifferent performances and perhaps will not be expected to get much from the game.
But on their day, they can produce the goods and if the likes of Heung-Min Son, Alli and Harry Kane fire then it might bode well for Spurs and their chances of getting something from the match.
