Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez are two of the Championship’s best players.

Jamie Paterson has admitted to The Bristol Post that he doesn’t know who the Championship’s best player is, when asked about Jack Grealish of Aston Villa or Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez.
Hernandez has arguably been Leeds’ best player this season, scoring eight and setting up 11 goals for the Premier League promotion-chasing Whites.
Grealish announced his return for Aston Villa in style last weekend, scoring a ridiculous volley from outside the box in his first game since December.
When deciding who the Championship’s best player was, talkSPORT pundit Matt Holland punted for the Leeds star in an on-air discussion with co-host Adrian Durham, who chose the Aston Villa midfielder.
And Bristol City midfielder Paterson, who faces Marcelo Bielsa’s side at Ashton Gate this weekend, couldn’t decide.
He told The Bristol Post: “It’s a hard one, really. It’s tough question. I can’t think off the top of my head. It’s difficult when you’re playing in the game, when you’re in the zone, you don’t notice stuff but I know Jack Grealish, when he’s on song and on form he’s definitely up there.
“Whenever I’ve played against him [Hernandez], he’s always been bright technically and can get on the ball. Obviously, that’s how I would play my game so he’s very good at it and is in a Leeds team that’s doing really well at the moment and I’m sure he’s enjoying his football.
“He is is definitely up there in terms of the best players.”

The Leeds man is more likely to win the Championship Player of the Year award this season.
Not only is he playing in a better team, but Grealish has just missed the past three months with a shin injury and therefore is unlikely to be considered, no matter what he does for Villa from now until the end of the season.
But in terms of talent, the 23-year-old is certainly exceptionally gifted and it’ll be interesting to see if he stays at Villa Park beyond this season.
