Jamie O’Hara has said on Sky Sports that he would like to see Tottenham Hotspur appoint Nuno as the club’s new manager.
The former Tottenham midfielder has also criticised the club for taking so long to appoint a new manager.
Jose Mourinho was sacked as the Spurs head coach back in April, just days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Ryan Mason was placed in charge of the first team until the end of the season.
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno is being linked with the Spurs managerial role now.
The Sun reported last week that Spurs are in talks with the 47-year-old manager.
Former Spurs midfielder O’Hara, who now works as a pundit, believes that Nuno would be a good managerial appointment for Spurs.
O’Hara said on Sky Sports: “I’d like Nuno. I think he would be good. I like his philosophy, the way he plays the game. He’s attacking, he wants to move the ball quickly.”
The Sky Sports pundit added: “It is embarrassing right, it has got embarrassing.”
Nuno to Tottenham Hotspur?
Tottenham are running out of options now.
Nuno is not exactly the ideal candidate. The playing style of the Portuguese is not exactly like Mauricio Pochettino’s.
However, the 47-year-old knows the Premier League inside out and did well at Wolves.
The Wanderers won promotion from the Championship under Nuno, who then took the club to the Europa League.
However, there is now speculation that Turkish club Fenerbahce want Nuno.
