Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that striker Harry Kane will be facing a long layoff as teammate Fernando Llorente could be tasked to replace him.

Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Fernando Llorente doesn’t give the Tottenham team or the fans confidence that he can win them games following Harry Kane’s injury.
Spurs confirmed on their official Twitter account that their star striker will be out of action until early March after he injured ligaments in his left ankle after his side’s 1-0 defeat against Manchester United at the weekend.
As a result of that news, former Premier League midfielder O’Hara explained why Llorente isn’t good enough to fill Kane’s shoes as Mauricio Pochettino is now short of quality up front.
“I don’t think Llorente give Spurs fans or the team the confidence that they are going to win games when he’s leading the line,” O’Hara told Sky Sports News on 15/01/2019 at 6:25 pm.
“You cannot replace Kane in terms of what he brings to the club, the team and the confidence. To lose him now with such massive games coming up.
“Daniel Levy has got to look at it and think he didn’t really want to go out and spend money going into a new stadium, but now there’s the opportunity where they have to.”

Spain international Llorente hasn’t scored for Tottenham in the Premier League this season as the club’s senior player will be looking to open his account at Fulham on Sunday.
He has only managed 36 minutes on the field of play for the London club, with the likes of Kane, Heung-min Son or Lucas Moura deploying that forward role.
All of Llorente’s four goals during this campaign have come in the cup competitions – three in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup – he netted a hat-trick against Tranmere Rovers at the start of this month.
If he doesn’t start up front for his team at the weekend then Pochettino might opt to play Dele Alli in that role or the returning Moura.
