Jamie O’Hara has strongly criticised Tottenham Hotspur player Emerson Royal on Twitter for getting sent off against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby on Saturday afternoon.

The former Tottenham player believes that the dismissal of Brazilian star Emerson, who can play as a right-back or as a right wing-back, led to Antonio Conte’s side losing the Premier League game against Arsenal.

With Arsenal 2-1 up in the second half, Emerson made a really bad tackle on his compatriot and Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli.

Referee Anthony Taylor Immediately sent off the £62,000-a-week (SalarySport) Emerson.

Arsenal went on to win the North London derby 3-1.

Disappointing for Spurs

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur were disappointing against Arsenal in the North London derby today.

Yes, the sending-off of Emerson made a huge difference, but you could feel that Arsenal were taking control of the game before that incident.

Tottenham did play well in the first half, but the Gunners were much better overall.

Spurs will be bitterly disappointed at the manner of the defeat and at their own performance.

Antonio Conte will now have to make sure that his Tottenham players bounce back.
