Kieran Trippier has been a regular for Tottenham Hotspur and England in recent seasons.

TalkSport pundit Jamie O’Hara has questioned whether Kieran Trippier is good enough for Tottenham if they want to go to the next level.

Right-back Trippier has been a key player for Spurs in recent seasons and his performances at club level have also resulted in him becoming an important figure on the international stage.

Last summer, he was one of England’s standout players as Gareth Southgate guided the Three Lions to the semi-finals of the World Cup.

But speaking to The Final Word on TalkSport (19/05/2019 at 6:50 pm), O’Hara thinks Spurs should look to replace Trippier in the summer.

“Trippier, I wouldn’t say he’s had a poor season,” O’Hara told TalkSport. “But if you’re talking about the club going to another level again that’s another one you can look at. Can they sign someone who is going to make a difference?”

After helping his country to the semi-finals of the World Cup, and with it being a standout player, many would have thought that Trippier would have taken his game to another level.

But throughout the recently concluded Premier League campaign, he produced poor performances and didn’t look like the player that was causing opposition defences problems in Russia.

Nonetheless, Trippier can win the hearts of Tottenham fans worldwide if he can play his part in them potentially winning the Champions League next month.
