Jamie O’Hara thinks Mauricio Pochettino will get a ‘good reception’ when he returns to Tottenham Hotspur as Chelsea manager on Monday night.
The former Tottenham midfielder had a pop at West Ham United fans and how they were a ‘disgrace’ for booing Declan Rice upon his return to the London Stadium recently.
As a result, O’Hara is hoping that Spurs fans treat Mauricio Pochettino a lot better, even though he is now in the colours of Chelsea, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast 8:45 am).
During his days at White Hart Lane, Spurs fans enjoyed some of their best moments in many, many years, including the Argentine coach guiding the club to the Champions League final.
For many, many years after his departure, those at Hotspur Way struggled, but they have now found a ray of sunshine in Ange Postecoglou.
Given how well things are going for Ange Postecoglou after his summer appointment, O’Hara thinks Mauricio Pochettino has now become ‘irrelevant’.

“I think he will get a good reception because he gave us a lot of years and he was a good manager,” said O’Hara.
“I think some of his comments since he has been at Chelsea have been a little bit disrespectful – If we weren’t doing well, then we would get a reception where people would want him back and people would be shouting his name.
“But Ange has been so good and the fans love Postecoglou so much. I think Pochettino is irrelevant now. We have moved on from it. He was a great manager for us. He didn’t win anything. We were a good side and played decent football. He will come back and we will give him a clap.
“I hope we don’t boo him because he deserves a good reception. I think the West Ham fans who were booing Declan Rice were a disgrace. That man gave everything to that football club. He could have left a year before his time and stayed by winning them a trophy.”
Should Spurs fans boo Pochettino?
In truth, if the Spurs fans want to verbally batter Pochettino, then they should do as they please because he is no longer in their colours.
What’s even worse is that he decided to take the Chelsea job, even though they are one of Tottenham’s biggest rivals.
That should convince Spurs fans even more to boo Pochettino because why should they applaud or cheer a Chelsea manager?
Yes, Pochettino did great for them, but it’s not like he won trophy after trophy like Jose Mourinho did at Stamford Bridge.
