The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, watched his former club progress to the Champions League final on Tuesday.

The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, is hoping for a Liverpool-Tottenham Hotspur Champions League final, according to Jamie O’Hara.
Gerrard returned to Anfield on Tuesday to watch Liverpool – the club he twice led to the competition’s last two as captain – overturn a 3-0 first-leg defeat against Barcelona.
And Tottenham will hope to follow suit in their tie at Ajax on Wednesday, after losing 1-0 to the Dutch side at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to Talksport earlier, O’Hara, the former Spurs midfielder, claimed: “I actually spoke to Stevie G last night. I text him at half-time – I didn’t realise he was at the game.
“I just said: ‘wow, what an incredible match’. And he said: ‘what a game, it was incredible to be there and that’.
“He actually texted me back and said: ‘let’s hope Spurs can do it now it’ll be a great final’. He’d love to see a Liverpool-Spurs final. So I thought that was really nice of him.”

While O’Hara and Gerrard were never teammates, their careers did cross paths.
The former played Premier League football for Tottenham, Portsmouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers while the Rangers boss was at Liverpool.
Now 32, O’Hara is currently employed as player-assistant manager at non-league Billericay Town.
Will the Rangers manager get his wish of a Liverpool-Tottenham final?
