Jamie O’Hara has said that Tottenham Hotspur should get rid of Richarlison and Ivan Perisic in the summer transfer window.

The former Tottenham player has said on talkSPORT that he is not happy that Richarlison and Perisic swapped shirts with Newcastle United players after the match at the weekend.

Tottenham were hammered 6-1 by Newcastle at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday.

It was one of the worst performances from Spurs in recent moment.

As reported by talkSPORT, after the match, Richarlison and Perisic swapped shirts with Newcastle players.

While Brazil international forward Richarlison swapped shirts with former Everton teammate Anthony Gordon, Perisic did the same with Jacob Murphy.

And O’Hara was not happy with the £175,000-a-week (SalarySport) Richarlison or with Perisic.

O’Hara said: “Why would you want to swap shirt in a game where you have been completely embarrassed? That for me just sums up modern day football players at the moment.

“Do you think Roy Keane or Steven Gerrard would want to swap shirts after a massive game when you just got pumped, are you joking? Can you imagine Ally McCoist asking for a shirt after a massive Old Firm match, ‘I want to swap shirts in the tunnel.’

“These footballers, I don’t know what they have turned into, but they ain’t proper footballers. If you’re asking for a shirt after you have just been beaten 6-1, get out of my football club!

“You should be taking all your shirts and boots from the kit man, and your boots, and your wages, and standing outside the training ground giving them to the fans, who have drove up to Newcastle to watch that rubbish.”

HITC Verdict: Not a good look

In our view, Richarlison and Ivan Perisic should not have swapped shirts on the pitch after Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to Newcastle United.

That just was not a good look for either player after the 6-1 hammering.

Now, it could have been done that Gordon had asked Richarlison for his shirt and Murphy wanted Perisic’s.

Even if that was the case, the two Tottenham players should have politely told them to wait until they were in the tunnel or away from the pitch before swapping shirts.
