Jamie O’Hara lauds Wolverhampton Wanderers and claims they have a ‘fantastic chance’ of winning the FA Cup

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the FA Cup semi-final and sitting in the Premier League’s top seven.

Jamie O’Hara has made a huge claim that Wolves have got ‘some world class players’ in their squad as he backed them to win the FA Cup at the end of the season.

The former Molineux midfielder believes Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can lift the cup because of their fantastic record against the top teams this season.

In their road to the semi-final, where they will face fellow Premier League side, Watford, they beat title-chasers Liverpool and rejuvenated Manchester United.

Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT (25/03/2019 at 12:45 pm), O’Hara praised Wolves for what they have done this season and how far they have come since he was at the club.

“It’s a fantastic football club,” O’Hara told talkSPORT. “I am glad to see them doing so well and what they are doing now. The way they are playing is really exciting to watch.

“They have got some world class players in there now. The way they are playing. The manager has got them playing and it’s a proper football club again. I think that was the problem there was a massive divide with the fans and the players when I was there.

“Now, they have united as a club and really pushing in the right direction. I think they are going from strength to strength. They have played well against the top teams so they have definitely got a fantastic chance [of winning the FA Cup].”

On top of their cup success, Wolves are also sitting seventh in the Premier League table and are on course to end the season with European football to their name.

They earned promotion to England’s top-flight last season by winning the Championship title in a dominant fashion, with the likes of Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Conor Coady standing out.

Those same players are also proving their worth during this campaign. Added with that, summer acquisitions such as Mourinho and Raul Jiminez have become firm fan favourites.

With domestic football set to return to action this weekend, Wolves will take on relegation-threatened Burnley at Turf Moor before hosting Manchester United in the league three days later.
