Jose Mourinho’s latest Instagram post couldn’t be more apt following Tottenham’s performance in the League Cup final on Sunday.
The recently-sacked coach wrote on his social media page ‘Anfield, April 27th 2014. Ball possession’, as he accompanied the caption with him holding onto the ball as Steven Gerrard tried to grab it away from him.
Ex-Spurs midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, reacted to Mourinho’s IG post in the comments section and he issued a brutal jibe towards his former club.
He wrote: ‘Kept it longer than Spurs did the other day’ added with a laughing emoji.
Whilst the scoreline read 1-0 to Manchester City on Sunday, it could have and should have been a lot more from Pep Guardiola’s men.
It’s pretty crazy that Daniel Levy, at first, decided to make the controversial and risky appointment of Mourinho.
He joined for one reason, and one reason only, and that was to help Spurs win a trophy given his own success over the years.
And given Mourinho had helped the North London outfit to Wembley, it begs the question as to what was going on behind the scenes for Levy to boot him away days before Spurs had a chance to end their trophy drought.
