Kieran Trippier left Tottenham Hotspur for Atletico Madrid last week, but could Danny Rose now follow him out of North London?

Jamie O’Hara has expressed his surprise at Tottenham parting ways with Kieran Trippier and now seemingly wanting to do the same with Danny Rose.
Right-back Trippier recently left Spurs for Spanish side Atletico Madrid, with his fullback counterpart Rose not being part of Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-season plans.
The Evening Standard recently claimed that Spurs are working on a deal for Fulham wonderkind Ryan Sessegnon as Rose’s future looks uncertain after he stayed out home to sort out his future with his teammates flying out to Asia.
Speaking to the Transfer Tavern on TalkSport (20/07/2019 at 5:25 pm), O’Hara shared his thoughts on Spurs’ current fullback situation.
“It’s a strange one that Trippier deal,” O’Hara told TalkSport. “I was talking about Tottenham signing someone to compete with Trippier because I didn’t think Aurier was good enough. And then they kind of sold him. It’s going to be difficult to see who they replace him with.
“Then Danny Rose hasn’t gone on tour with them and he’s leaving. It seems as though there is a bit of a mix up going on. Personally, I don’t think they’ll be letting people go. They have kind of let two of their starting fullbacks leave.
“I think if they let Rose go, they’ll have something lined up. The Trippier one I was surprised hat happened out of the blue.”

If Rose does follow Trippier out of the exit door then it will leave Mauricio Pochettino pretty light in the fullback area.
Left-back will be of most concern because Ben Davies is the only specialist player in that position, but if Sessegnon does put pen-to-paper then he’ll be a more than worthy addition.
