Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.

Jamie O’Hara suggested on The Transfer Tavern show on talkSPORT (6:55pm, June 8, 2019) that Tottenham Hotspur should not sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

According to The Express, Tottenham are interested in signing Zaha from Premier League rivals Palace this summer.

The Daily Mail has claimed that the Eagles want between £75 million and £80m as transfer fee for the former Manchester United winger.

Former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara has suggested that the North London outfit should not pay £70m to bring Zaha to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

O’Hara said when asked about Zaha to Tottenham on The Transfer Tavern show on talkSPORT (6:55pm, June 8, 2019): “I really hope not. He is a fantastic player, but not for £70m.”

Expensive signing

Zaha is a very good winger who has recovered his form during his second spell at Palace, but £80m does sound a bit too much for him.

Moreover, Tottenham do not spend that kind of money on players anyway, and it is hard to see Spurs chairman Daniel Levy splash £80m on a single player.

However, there is no doubt that the 26-year-old will enhance the quality of the current Tottenham attacking unit, but unless Palace lower their demands, the winger will not end up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
