Harry Kane would choose Manchester City over Manchester United, says former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara.
The former Tottenham midfielder does not think that Kane will leave Spurs for United.
However, the 33-year-old believes that if the England international striker does decide to part company with the North London outfit, then he will consider switching to City.
O’Hara said on talkSPORT: “If you are going to go for £200million, are you going to go to Man United? No disrespect to them, even though they’ve had their great history, Tottenham are probably a better suited squad to where they are going.
“So if he is are going to leave Tottenham, surely he is going to go where he can win trophies. And, for me, that is not going to be at Man United.”
O’Hara added when asked if Kane can break Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record at Spurs: “No. I think if he is going to go it’s going to be Man City; it’s only Man City, for me, who can probably get him.
“Aguero is coming to the end and Jesus is a different type of player, so if they are to get somebody it would be Harry Kane.”
Manchester United or Manchester City?
First of all, it should be made clear that there is no indication that Kane wants to leave or will leave Tottenham.
True, Spurs are not exactly in great form at the moment (although they did win in the Champions League this week), but it is hard to see the 26-year-old force a move away.
If Tottenham do decide to cash in on Kane or in the future the player himself wants a change, then City are certainly more appealing than United.
While the Red Devils are struggling to break into the top four of the Premier League, City are one of the top favourites to win the league title and the Champions League.
