Aston Villa have had a strong summer transfer window as Dean Smith will be hoping his players can deliver when the new Premier League season kicks off in August.

Jamie O’Hara has predicted that Aston Villa will finish in the ‘bottom five’ this season as he strangely claimed that they ‘need to sign a few players’ despite the club capturing the signatures of eight players this summer.
The TalkSport pundit did redeem himself by lauding the size of the club and how magnificent it is as he also shared that his sons are Villa fans and big fans of Jack Grealish.
Dean Smith has been the busiest top-flight manager during this summer transfer window as Villa have secured the services of eight players, with more seemingly to come.
Speaking to the Transfer Tavern on TalkSport (20/07/2019 at 6:40 pm), former midfielder O’Hara expects Villa to struggle upon their Premier League return.
“I think they need to sign a few players,” O’Hara told TalkSport. “I think they are going to be bottom five. I think there will be five teams scrapping it out. It’s a case of who will be the worst three.
“For me, it’s going to be Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Norwich and Sheffield United.
“I love Villa. Fantastic football club. The way they run everything. Their academy is brilliant. I hope they stay up because they are a huge football club and my kids are Villa fans actually and they keep going on about Grealish.”

Whilst Villa’s spending may seem too much from the outside, they have actually been very wise in the players they have recruited this summer.
From loanees such as Tyrone Mings, who thrived last season to players such as Jota, who previously worked under Smith during his time at Brentford.
Either way, Villa have seemingly purchased the players they wanted and have given themselves the best possible chance in making a mark ahead of the new season.
