Leeds United started off their Championship season with three points at Bristol City.
Jamie O’Hara has boldly backed Leeds United to win the Championship as he stated that they are going to ‘fly’ this season.
The TalkSport pundit was also praising of Leeds duo Marcelo Bielsa and Pablo Hernandez, as he backed the possibility that relegated Fulham can bounce straight back up alongside them.
Despite all the off-field-talk about players leaving, Bielsa’s side started the season in a near-perfect fashion as they deservedly beat Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Speaking to Final Word on TalkSport (04/08/2019 at 6:40 pm), the Leeds United fans will no doubt love the prediction that has been made by O’Hara.
“They look great, I have tipped them to win the league,” O’Hara told TalkSport. “They look strong. They have a brilliant manager. Hernandez is a star player for them. I fancy them and Fulham. Then Fulham got beat [against Barnsley]. [But] I think Leeds are going to fly this season.
O’Hara added: “I would [like to see them back in the Premier League]. Huge club. If you look there are some big teams in the Championship, Stoke, Nottingham Forest, and Cardiff – the only standout team [in the Championship] is Leeds.”
There are a few more days left before the summer transfer window slams shut and Leeds will be hoping to end it on a high.
If they can add the right type of players to their squad before Thursday’s cut-off point and bulk up their squad in the defensive and attacking third then it would help the squad.
