The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard recently suggested that the Ibrox winger could be pushed into an early return from injury.

Jamie Murphy has travelled with the Rangers squad to Switzerland – even though he cannot play against Young Boys.
Murphy has only appeared in one of Steven Gerrard’s matchday squads so far this season, and has yet to appear competitively.
But the winger posted the following video on Instagram earlier.
Speaking last month, Gerrard suggested that the winger could be pushed into an early return from the injury that kept him sidelined for the best part of a year, but he will have to wait a little longer for his comeback after he was not registered for Europa League action.
Rangers are again without Jordan Jones and Ryan Kent for this evening’s Group G encounter with Young Boys, but still have Sheyi Ojo, Brandon Barker, Greg Stewart and Eros Grezda to call on in Murphy’s position.

Rangers have a 100 per cent record to protect in Bern, but face difficult opposition in Young Boys, who are the reigning Swiss champions.
