Glasgow Rangers winger Jamie Murphy is set to miss the rest of the season at Ibrox.

Jamie Murphy has posted an update on Twitter as he continues to battle his way back from a season-ending injury, prompting a number of Rangers fans to send the winger plenty of support.
Murphy looked set to be one of Steven Gerrard’s key players ahead of the Englishman’s first season at the helm at Ibrox after completing his permanent switch to the club in the summer.
Unfortunately, Murphy looks to have already made his final appearance of the campaign. He ruptured knee ligaments in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the League Cup and BBC Sport reported that he is set to miss the rest of the season.
The news was a huge blow for both Murphy and Rangers. The winger was establishing himself as a hugely important member of the Gers side and was forcing his way into Scotland’s plans having not made his senior debut before 2018.

And while Rangers have made an extremely bright start to the campaign, Gerrard’s men would undoubtedly benefit from being able to use Murphy as the season goes on.
But it does appear that Murphy’s recovery is on track as he posted a video on social media showing the winger in the gym doing some work on his knee. And in response, a number of Rangers fans have expressed their delight for Murphy and suggested that he should be working to get back for the end of the campaign – with a title win being predicted by some of the Ibrox faithful.

Here is Murphy’s tweet as well as the reaction…
