Jamie Murphy has been at Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers since 2018.

The 30-year-old winger has said that he had talks with Rangers manager Gerrard over his future in the summer.
The Scotland international has suggested that he did think about leaving the Ibrox club on loan.
Murphy told The Scottish Sun: “We had a good few chats. The manager has been great with me since I came back from the injury.
“He told me what he expected and I said what I was looking for. We both agreed it was better I stayed and fought for my place.
“We agreed I would play as many reserve games as possible as well as training and that seems to be paying off right now.”

Rangers struggles
Murphy joined Rangers on a permanent contract from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £1 million after a loan spell at Ibrox.
The winger did well during his loan spell at Rangers, but the former Motherwell and Sheffield United player suffered cruciate knee ligament damage last August.
With the winger back to full fitness and available for selection, the 30-year-old could prove to be a very important player for Rangers in their quest to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, as well as progress to the knockout round of the Europa League.
