Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers look set to bring Jamie Murphy to Ibrox from Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to The Daily Record, Murphy is about to undergo medical at Rangers and will join the Gers for a transfer fee of £1 million.
It has been reported that the switch from Brighton to Rangers will be completed on Friday, with the 28-year-old winger to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Murphy has suggested that he is on the verge of joining Rangers and has expressed his delight at making the switch.

“It’s a great feeling to be coming back home,” Murphy told The Daily Record. ”There are still things to be finalised but I’m hoping we can get it all tied up as quickly as possible. All I want is to help the team keep on improving.”

Murphy is a very good winger, and the 28-year-old would be a brilliant signing for Rangers in the January transfer window.
The Gers are aiming to finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season, and the former Scotland Under-21 international would be important for the Ibrox in that quest.
The former Motherwell and Sheffield United has played a total of 166 minutes in the Premier League so far this season, according to WhoScored.
