Queens Park Rangers winger Jamie Mackie is poised to extend his stay at Loftus Road, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Mackie’s current deal expires at the end of June and he could have left QPR on a free transfer.
However, QPR have indicated they want to keep hold of Mackie and they have moved quickly to agree a new deal with the Scotland international.
Rs boss Ian Holloway is a big admirer of Mackie and sees him as a key man in his plans going forward as he looks to rebuild the squad at Loftus Road.

Mackie endured a frustrating season this year because of injury, having only made his return to action in December after eight months out after sustaining ankle ligament damage in training while working his way back from a hamstring operation.
The 31-year-old made 19 appearances for QPR once he returned to fitness and he played his part in helping the club secure survival in the Championship after a disappointing campaign for the club.
News of Mackie’s new deal will come as a boost to QPR and Holloway as the former Nottingham Forest man is a big fans’ favourite at Loftus Road.
