The Scottish youngster has revealed that despite being away from Celtic Park at the moment, he is still in touch with the footballing chiefs at Celtic.
“It’s been really good at Ross County so far, I’ve settled in well,” Lindsay told The Scottish Sun. “Obviously the goal is to make it at Celtic, if you play your football in Scotland, you want to play for Celtic. They are the best team.
“I did pre-season with Celtic. Brendan Rodgers took me in and spoke with me about everything. I met him and spoke to him last week.
“John Kennedy always keeps in touch as well so it’s good when you’re out on loan to know that they’re still keeping track of how I’m doing.”
Celtic have the best and strongest squad in Scotland, and have some of the best players in the Scottish Premiership on their books.
Lindsay is a very good and promising young midfielder, but it is going to be hard for him to break into the Hoops’ starting lineup.
Playing regularly for Scottish Premiership rival Ross County is only going to help the 21-year-old develop.
If Lindsay plays well for Owen Coyle’s side this season, then he could force himself into Rodgers’s plan for the 2017-18 campaign.
