Everton lost against Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday.

Everton’s disappointing start to the 2017-18 campaign continued on Thursday evening, as they went down 3-0 to Atalanta away from home.
The Toffees lost badly to Serie A outfit Atalanta at the Stadio Citta del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia in Italy in their opening Europa League Group E game.
The defeat followed Ronald Koeman’s side’s 3-0 loss at the hands of North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
The performance of Everton against Atalanta was hugely disappointing, especially at the back, as they conceded all three goals in the opening 45 minutes.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadio Citta del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia on Thursday evening, visitors Everton had 49% of the possession, took 13 shots of which three were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to Twitter and Instagram to send a strong message following the defeat.
There was a mixed response from the Merseyside outfit’s supporters to Koeman’s post (we have posted some of them below), although some of the fans who were not pleased with the result and the performance did not hold back,
Former Everton star Phil Neville posted a screenshot of a few of the vile tweets on his Twitter page – which we cannot show due to the language in those tweets – to which Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has responded quite sarcastically.
