Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football that he has given Liverpool striker Diogo Jota a new nickname.
Jota got his name on the scoresheet again for Liverpool last night, as he scored the only goal of their game against Wolves.
The striker fired the ball beyond Rui Patricio, with a powerful shot, which has become his trademark.
And Carragher says that he has come up with a new nickname for the Portuguese international.
“It’s not an easy chance, but we’ve seen so often with Jota those low, hard shots into corners and that’s why he’s got the nickname Jota the Slotter. I’ve just give him it,” he told Sky Sports.
Whether Liverpool fans will now be using Carragher’s new name for Jota regularly remains to be seen.
But he is rapidly becoming more and more popular at Anfield, after a wonderful first season in a Liverpool shirt.

Jota has missed much of the campaign with injury, but when fit he has really proven his worth.
Jota is currently in the starting line-up as Roberto Firmino is currently struggling with injury, but he may just have done enough to keep his place now, even when the Brazilian returns.
Firmino has struggled for goals this term, and Liverpool’s goal-threat may actually be increased with Jota in their side.
