Liverpool have been linked with a move to re-sign the Brazilian ace.

Jamie Carragher suggested that he would love to see Philippe Coutinho back at Liverpool this summer, when speaking exclusively to Pundit Arena.

The 27-year-old left the Reds for Barcelona in January 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £142 million, according to BBC Sport.

Coutinho has really struggled to establish himself at the Camp Nou, however, so much so that Barca are allegedly already prepared to cut their losses on the Brazilian.

ESPN claims that the Spanish giants are willing to accept offers in the region of £90 million for the former Liverpool ace.

And Carragher suggested that he would love to see Coutinho back at Anfield, when speaking exclusively to Pundit Arena:

“I said it before, I’d love to see Liverpool bring back Coutinho back if that was possible in any way. Obviously it hasn’t worked out for him at Barcelona. I just think that would be a great addition.”

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo reported earlier this month that Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the talented play-maker back to Liverpool.

Coutinho was a star player for the Reds during his five-year stint with the club. He left under acrimonious circumstances, however, and there are probably some Liverpool fans who still feel bitter about the way in which he demanded to leave the club 18 months ago.

It cannot be argued that he would strengthen Klopp’s side, however, and it will be interesting to see whether the German would actually take up the chance to re-sign the South American, if he is in fact available this summer.
