The midfielder has developed into the star man at Anfield.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher has told Liverpool they must sign better players to ensure they do not lose Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian has established himself as the star man in Liverpool’s side in recent years with a series of impressive performances.
Last season saw him show marked improvement under Jurgen Klopp, playing a key role in their run to the Europa League final.
At just 24 he still has plenty of development ahead of him, with many predicting he could break into that top tier of superstar players in the years to come.

Indeed, Barcelona has already been suggested as a potential destination in future and Carragher says the Reds must sign better players over the next 18 months to ensure they do not lose him.
“Liverpool, over the next 18 months or so, have got to get better quality around him [Coutinho] because if they don’t he may not be at the club,” he told Sky Sports.
“That’s how much quality he’s got, he’s going to improve. So Liverpool will need better players around him.”

If Liverpool are to sign those better players, they will arguably need to secure Champions League football in time for next season.
That is not likely to be an easy task by any means, with this year looking likely to be one of the most competitive yet.
And should they fail to make it in, it would not be surprising to see Coutinho eyeing an exit to take the next step in his career.
