The Brazilian is currently ahead of Sturridge in the Liverpool pecking order.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has urged Daniel Sturridge to take a leaf out of Roberto Firmino’s book to get back into the current team, speaking to ESPN.
The England striker has found himself on the bench this season as Jurgen Klopp has used Firmino as his central striker.
The Brazilian has fully justified his selection, with Liverpool currently sitting joint-top of the Premier League scoring charts.
Indeed, Firmino has been in fine form himself, with four goals in his first seven games leaving him the club’s joint-top goalscorer.

It means Sturridge faces a fight to get back in and Carragher has told him to look to his teammate and try to learn from him to do so.
“At this moment Jurgen Klopp fancies Roberto Firmino more in that central striking position,” he told ESPN.
“Daniel Sturridge’s strike rate for Liverpool is outstanding. It’s up there with some of the greatest strikers Liverpool have ever had.
“We know he can do that, but maybe Klopp wants different things that Firmino adds so maybe Daniel has to look at that and think where he can improve to get back in the team.”

The bigger problem for Sturridge is that Firmino is not the only striker he has to get past to get into the Liverpool team.
Divock Origi has also shined under Klopp and will be keen to earn his place back, while Danny Ings has been impressive for the Under-23s, scoring four goals in his six games so far.
That kind of form will see him pushing for a first-team place before too long, further increasing the competition for Sturridge.
