Former England defender and current pundit Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to praise Eric Dier – and compare the Tottenham star to Roy Keane.
England played out another disappointing game at Euro 2016 on Monday evening, as they drew 0-0 with Slovakia in Saint-Etienne, meaning they finished second in Group B.

Roy Hodgson’s men failed to build on last week’s last gasp 2-1 win over Wales, and whilst it was another frustrating evening for the Three Lions, one player impressed again.
Midfielder Eric Dier has played every minute of the competition so far, and has played a key role for England sitting in front of the back four – and even scored with a stunning free kick against Russia in England’s first game.

The Tottenham ace has become a star since moving from defence into midfield last season, and he is continuing to develop into a key player for club and country before even turning 22.
During England’s poor showing against Slovakia, pundit and former England defender Jamie Carragher took to Twitter to praise Dier – and even made a bold comparison.

Carragher tweeted that Dier’s passing reminds him of former Manchester United hero Roy Keane, as he sits in front of the back four and pings passes into players ahead of him, whilst his breaking up of play would also earn some comparisons to the Irishman, even if Carragher focused on passing ability.
