Leicester City star James Maddison should be on Liverpool’s radar, suggests Jamie Carragher.

The former Liverpool defender has been impressed with Maddison, and believes that the Reds should be looking at the 22-year-old Englishman.
Carragher believes that the former Norwich City youngster can take the Reds to the next level.
Carragher said about Maddison on the Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports Premier League on Monday night (10:48pm, August 19, 2019): “I think he is the one player outside of the top six who Liverpool should be looking at.
“People have been talking about Coutinho coming back, but obviously that hasn’t happened as he has gone to Bayern Munich, but if you are looking in the Premier League, yes he will cost a lot of money, but he should be the one Liverpool are looking at if you are going to that next step up.”

Stats
Maddison has been on the books of Leicester since the summer of 2018 when he joined from Norwich City for a transfer fee reported by The Independent to be worth £22 million.
Interestingly, Everton wanted to sign the attacking midfielder in the summer of 2018, as reported by The Independent.
According to WhoScored, the English youngster made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Leicester last season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in the process.
Maddison has provided one assist in two league appearances for the Foxes so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
