Arsenal drew 1-1 away at Manchester United on Monday night.

Pundit Jamie Carragher has told Sky Sports (30/09, 21:55) that he thinks Chelsea will have loved seeing Arsenal draw 1-1 at Manchester United on Monday night.
The two sides entered the game with major questions to answer about their top four credentials, and they didn’t do much to convince fans and pundits alike in a dour display.
Scott McTominay fired United in front in the first half, before slack United defending allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to equaliser for Arsenal, with the aid of VAR as the goal was initially disallowed for offside.
The result leaves Arsenal fourth in the Premier League table on 12 points, and United down in 10th place on nine points, with neither side really looking convincing this season.
Just how Arsenal are fourth is quite remarkable really, but Carragher thinks that the happiest team after last night’s game will actually be Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea.
The Blues beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 on Saturday, meaning they have won three of their last five games, and sit just a point and three places behind Arsenal.

Carragher thinks that Chelsea look to have more quality than both Arsenal and United, and whilst he thought that they would struggle to get in the top four, he now thinks they look to have better prospects than the two sides in action last night.
“The one team looking at that tonight who will be buoyed is Chelsea,” said Carragher. “I think at the start of the season, I thought Chelsea might struggle to get in the top four. Listen, it will still be a fight, but even in these early stages – Chelsea have dropped a few points here and there – but when you watch them, they have more quality than what we’re actually seeing from both of these sides,” he added.
With Frank Lampard embracing young talents like Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham, Chelsea look vibrant going forward if a little naïve defensively at times, but Blues fans have plenty to be encouraged by – both with their own side and with the deficiencies of other around them.
