Jamie Carragher says he ‘doesn’t want’ Harry Kane to join Manchester United if he were to put his Liverpool hat on and he ‘can’t go to Arsenal’ after Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham failed to score over two legs against Italian champions AC Milan, with Carragher speaking about Kane’s future after the game and how it is ‘now or never’.
The 29-year-old will have 12 months left to run on his Spurs contract in the summer and he either heads for the exit door or signs a new deal.

Given that Kane hasn’t won a trophy in north London and most likely won’t if he stays put, then there are calls for the 201-goal Premier League striker to leave, including from legendary goalscorer, Thierry Henry.
From the elite teams in the Premier League, it could be argued that only Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are the only ones in need of an out-and-out forward.
Carragher spoke about the possibility of Kane going to Old Trafford and how that is a ‘realistic’ option for the England captain, even though he doesn’t want it to happen, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (08/03/23 at 10:35 pm).
“The big question is about Harry Kane,” said Carragher. “If he doesn’t leave this summer, then he will be staying at Tottenham for the rest of his career. I think it’s now or never.
“Tottenham will always be a team there or thereabouts, in terms of qualifying for the Champions League. They might make it this season. But are they going to win trophies? No. He hasn’t won one trophy in his life.
“I think the place he can only go, realistically, is Manchester United. I don’t want to see him at Manchester United for obvious reasons.
“Liverpool have just signed Nunez. Manchester City have got Haaland. He can’t go to Arsenal. The only thing I would say about that (a possible Bayern Munich move) is that he wants the Premier League record. If he stays in the Premier League from now until the end of his career, then he will be the top goalscorer to ever play in the Premier League.
“I agree with what Thierry (Henry) is saying ‘that can’t be the most important thing’. But it is a pretty special achievement for somebody to say ‘you are the man who has done that’. I think if he is going to stay in England, the only big team, who needs a centre-forward right now, is Manchester United. But will they pay £100 million for a guy that’s nearly 30?”

EVEN TOTTENHAM FANS WILL OPEN THE DOOR FOR KANE…
Things are so bad for Spurs that even their own supporters are probably opening the exit door for Kane because they understand that he deserves more.
For his level of performance and the crazy amount of goals he has scored, it hasn’t been matched by the players around him or the ambition from the top.
That’s why it isn’t a surprise that he is probably seeing out his contract and will be looking to leave north London in the summer.
There was that well-documented interest from Manchester City a couple of years ago, well, they now have the goal-crazy Erling Haaland and the duo might just become rivals next season.
