The midfielder has struggled since joining Liverpool last summer.

Jamie Carragher shared what he kept hearing about Naby Keita before the Guinean joined Liverpool, when speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme (Monday, April 8th).
The Reds paid around £52.75 million to sign the midfielder from RB Leipzig last summer, according to the Independent, but he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations yet at Anfield.
He has shown signs of what he is truly capable of in recent weeks, however, scoring important goals in consecutive games against Southampton and Porto respectively.
Keita, on his day, brings something different to Liverpool’s play, in the way in which he runs with the ball at his feet, and Carragher explained how he heard great things about the 24-year-old before he moved to Anfield, during his appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme (Monday, April 8th):

“Before seeing him in a Liverpool shirt, the word that kept coming back was that he dribbled at defences. That’s the Keita we were told was coming. That’s what Liverpool fans have been waiting for now for six months.”
Liverpool have a real chance of winning both the Premier League and the Champions League this season, and if Keita can produce his best form between now and May, their hopes of achieving glory will be greatly enhanced.
