Jamie Carragher has told The Overlap that he believes Leeds United will stay up because he feels they are capable of outscoring their opponents – whereas the likes of Norwich, Watford and Burnley struggle to score goals.
Leeds have secured two wins in a row and have put themselves in a much better position when it comes to staving off the threat of relegation. But Leeds are still in increasing danger with eight league games to play.

Indeed, Everton and Burnley have three games in hand over Leeds, while Norwich and Watford have one. But Leeds do sit seven points clear of the drop zone, and four ahead of Frank Lampard’s Everton.
Asked about the chances of Leeds staying in the Premier League come the end of the season, Carragher is confident the Whites will stay up due to their superior ability to score goals – while others struggle to do so.
“You look at the other teams down there – they struggle to score a goal. But with Leeds, you could concede two but they can easily go and score four. It’s mad, when you watch them, you can’t believe what you’re seeing.”

They have proven it in their last two games. Conceding in the 91st minute to Norwich, the scoreline reading 1-1. But they simply went down the other end and Joe Gelhardt scored. At half-time, they were 2-0 down to Wolves.
Norwich look as good as down. Watford and Burnley are more defensive-minded but are struggling to score, while still conceding. Everton have the quality to get themselves out of it, but defensively have been appalling.
Right now, Leeds look good to stay up and a win against Southampton on Saturday would all but secure Premier League safety come the summer.
