Jamie Carragher praised Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard on Sky Sports Football (4:48pm, March 21, 2021).
The former Liverpool defender, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, made the comments while watching Odegaard in action for Arsenal against West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
Carragher was on co-commentary duty for the London derby for Sky Sports, and he praised the Norway international attacking midfielder towards the end of the Premier League game.
The Englishman said in the 89th minute of the game on Sky Sports Football (4:48pm, March 21, 2021): “I have been massively impressed by Odegaard since he came in this team.”
Important player for Arsenal
Odegaard played well for Arsenal at London Stadium and did his part in the Gunners coming from three goals down to draw 3-3.
According to WhoScored, Odegaard took three shots and one was on target, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 93.4%, took 95 touches, attempted four dribbles, and put in nine crosses.
So far this season, the attacking midfielder has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for the Gunners, according to WhoScored.
For Arsenal to finish in the Premier League top four and to win the Europa League this season, Odegaard will have to be on top of his game.
