Liverpool take on Tottenham in the Champions League final on Saturday.

The Champions League final is now under a week away with Tottenham taking on Liverpool on June 1.
The game is UEFA’s showpiece event, bringing the curtain down on a spectacular season across Europe. For the Premier League teams involved in the first all-English final since 2008, it will bring to an end a three week wait.
The wait before the game has upset pundit Jamie Carragher, who won the trophy with Liverpool in 2005.
He feels the wait for the game has helped Tottenham.
Carragher did not elaborate on why he believes Tottenham have an advantage due to the wait, although it’s likely because the extra time helps striker Harry Kane with his recovery from injury.
However if the final was this past weekend, Kane would surely have been ready regardless.
Italy’s Serie A only concluded this weekend, so an English team would have had a big advantage over Juventus had they made it to the final.
The three week break for both Premier League teams has been odd given the relentless schedule they are used to, but it has given proper recuperation time to the players, and should help both teams.
